i would like to thank the lovely people here as I have been using this forum to help me get through the agony of having both with Alzheimer’s. 4 years ago I managed to get them into a care home after much pressure. The first few months were awful and I often found myself in tears. This forum helped me so much to understand what was going on.
Mum died peacefully two years ago which in some ways I was grateful for as she no longer had to cope with this awful illness. Dad lasted another two years in his own little world and sadly passed away last Monday.
He’s not going to let me forget this as it is Armistice Day.
So this message is to say thank you for the support from this forum as sometimes I did not know how I would through it.
