Except if you are in receipt of a British pension as my husband and I both are. Because we don't live in the UK, our pensions remain the same now as when they started. No fuel allowances,no Xmas bonuses, no increase due to increases of cost of living.

Like Canadians, Australians are faced with trying to live on an out of date payment.

Though I did get a letter once from Inland Revenue asking me to supply them with my latest tax return. I hadn't lived or worked in UK for some years, was past working, and was receiving a part pension from Australian government. I tried to be tactful but geeez it was hard. I pointed out the obvious, that if I had been employed in Australia, I would have been paying tax to Australian government, not UK. I had thought that it should have been bleeding obvious.
