hi everyone I’m new to the group and trying to support a friend. Her mother needs to be moved back to the UK and funding and accommodation has now finally been organised. We need a qualified dementia cater to escort her to the UK. Her daughter is in the UK now but has Brocken her leg and cannot travel anyway. Does anyone know of such a service.? All expenses will be covered. Flying from Tenerife to UK

Although I could not see dementia mentioned in any of the hits they look like the best place to start unless somebody knows of a specific company.

If Nitram's route doesn't work for you, you could try calling a care agency (local to where she will be living here) and asking if one of their carers would be prepared to fly out there and escort her back. I have no idea if they would do it, but if not they might know someone who would.

What a shame you didn't ask a couple of days ago, two of our carers (sisters) flew back from Tenerife on Monday and I could have asked them if they'd do it.
There must be dozens of carers and nurses on holiday in Tenerife at the moment who'll be flying home soon if only you could find a way of contacting one and avoiding the cost of getting someone a return flight from the UK and possibly a couple of days stay to give them chance to get to know your mum.
