... Majorca. Five years ago I booked to go on my cycling club's annual trip to Majorca. My wife was to come with me, although she doesn't cycle, as there were several other non-cyclists in the party who she could mix with whilst I was out on my bike. In the evenings we could do what we always used to do on holiday, sampling the local food and wine. So went the theory but my growing concerns about her incipient but, at that tiime, undiagnosed dementia led me to cancel our participation in the trip.

I'm not quite past the finishing post but this year, barring lat minute incidents, I am going to Majorca in a few days time. Everything is arranged for my wife's residential respite, I have found an excellent place to board our dog, and all that needs doing is to complete the packing of our separate bags. And then go.
