Anyone want to add to this thread for a bit of a smile???

:)

I had a letter this morning referring to " Bed Based Replacement Care"

Took me a mo to work out what it meant - why do they really have to make things so obtuse?

What do you reckon it means? Did the bed fall apart? Was a recliner chair issued?

Does it mean respite care??
Spot on @Louise7 !!!!

Have you ever heard such idiotic trash? I have thought off and on all day, about how some people, who have not got a clue, sat in their offices, brain storming ideas to replace the word 'respite' - as if there was anything wrong with it anyway........bed based replacement care.....

I have another one... I was a 'foster mother' - then it was mooted that we were described as 'non institutional service providers' - thankfully that went by the wayside and we were 'foster carers'.

It bothers me that people are being paid good money to come up with this sort of thing......

Does it mean the patient is no longer able to move and has to stay in bed permanently and therefore needs more nursing care or move to a nursing home?

Oh, you answered as I was posting!
