Mums condition improved when she broke shoulder

My Mum broke her shoulder in November and from then until quite recently her faculties greatly improved. In the last week or so she has regressed again. Has anyone else had this experience and if so was any explanation ever found.

That can happen occasionally - Ive read about it on here several times, although it never happened to mum.
The explanation is that the brain finds another route around damage, but as dementia is progressive, it doesnt last, unfortunately.

My mum seemed to pick up after her scan for a bit. Strange isn't it.
