Mobility component of PIP and continuing health care

Can anyone give me an answer? My husband has a Motobility vehicle and is now in hospital. He is being assessed for continuing health care to be placed in residential care. If he is awarded it does he lose the mobility component of his PIP? If this is the case, would Motobility allow us to take over the lease until it expires? Another scenario is that he may just be awarded the nursing funding element for residential care so what would happen then?
