Here is a story to make you all smile! My mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia in September. I know she’s been struggling with feeling that she’s “no use” at times. Yesterday she was looking out her window and saw a boy from the local secondary getting pushed around by some bigger boys. They threw him into her garden so before my dad could stop her, she was out and chased the bullies away! Then later she (and she was at pains to tell me it was her and not my dad!) found the wee lad’s iPhone that he must have dropped. It was returned to him via the police and later that night he popped round with his Mum to give my mum a big bunch of flowers! She’s delighted and I think it lifted her right up!

How lovely...I hope also the bullies had a knock on the door...from the community police officer!
