Well done Sarah !! :)

Just to say, I’ve loved reading this thread about all the memories of others

The magic of our bikes, climbing trees, the day of fireworks and the memories that invoked.

Please don’t stop :)

I’ve just discovered this thread...I want to hear more memories! It reminded me of the rag and bone man. I remember sitting in my classroom, hearing his sing song cry...and it made me want to be at home with Mum. Ours didn’t give balloons, but I remember a little pink plastic ballerina...the sort of thing you would get in a cheap Christmas cracker now.

I loved the milkman delivering the milk on his horse and cart and my grandmother and the doctor who lived opposite racing to see who would get there first to scoop up the horse droppings to put on their roses!

I have to admit a shameful fact, which is that I completely forgot about my writing suggestion, and about the existence of this sad thread, now dangling without support. If anyone happens upon it, and is interested in continuing the idea of a writing group, perhaps they can send me a message.
