Consultant appointment tomorrow

Hubby was diagnosed a couple of months ago with Dementia with Lewys Body and has his first consultant appointment tomorrow morning.

I am really hoping there is something they can give him to help with some of the symptoms. Fingers crossed and I will keep you posted.

He has been to the consultant this morning who was lovely and is going to be started on Rivastigmine so I am hoping that will help him. Fingers crossed.

it helps so much if a consultant is approachable and listens
meds have helped my dad, so I keep my fingers crossed those will help your husband to settle too

Hi Mary2000. So glad ,after so long waiting your husband has got some meds.I wrote on your other thread that my dad also has Lewy body.Since he has been on rivastigmine he’s like a different person.I do hope it’s the same for your husband. Dad is also on quetiapine,just a half of tablet and this has stopped sleep problems and hallucinations. Good wishes to you both and keep posting.
