If you search the internet for 'automated pill dispenser for dementia' you will find circular gadgets, about the size of a side plate. It can be filled, then locked, so no tablets can be accessed. You set dispensing times and it flashes and beeps until it is turned upside down to dispense the tablet. Bought one for my Dad and it's been invaluable.
Don't get a Pivotell. My dad had one and they are incredibly fiddly- you have to tip the box at exactly the correct angle to get the pill out of the tiny slot, and if you don't manage it locks the pill away. Dad's spatial awareness was not good enough to manage it and he found it incredibly distressing
