Hello all. My mum was diagnosed with fronto temporal dementia a couple of years ago and I am really struggling at the moment. She seems to be disappearing and it's breaking my heart.

hello Alison70
and welcome to TP
I'm sorry to hear of your mum's diagnosis and that things are tough for you right now - far too many hearts are breaking because dementia is in our lives
you've found the right place for sympathy from folk who understand
so post about whatever you want, whenever you want and someone will respond
best wishes

Hello Alison

I`m also sorry to hear about your mum and how upsetting it is for you. I may be wrong but it seems Fronto Temporal Dementia is faster acting than other forms of dementia.

Are you getting any help?

Hi, I am Diane

I have just joined this forum because I have just joined Alzheimers as a volunteer for Singing for the Brain in our local town.

I am most interested in what the members here have to tell me about the experiences that they have with family members who have dementia.

We do a lot of elearning but I would love to learning from some of you on the forum as you have first hand experience of dementia.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Diane
