Door alarm recommendations

Hi all,

We have a carer moving in today for my father in law. He has wandered iout of the house n the middle of the night recently so we need a door alarm or sensor that goes off and alerts her. Any suggestions? We've tried Maplin but all they had was loud burglar type alarms.

Try searching for door chimes instead of door alarms.

The kind of thing used in small shops to show somebody has just entered.

If there is a alarm fitted you may be able to program a chime when the entry/exit door is opened with the alarm unset.

Try asking your Social Services or Local Authority Adult Social Care Dept. Mum had one, linked to her call care system, supplied by the LA.

Our local chemist sells alarms, gps trackers. Also goggle door alarms dementia patients, loads to choose from. Or w ha about t those that you can use when you travel, to hang over door locks. Depends what you require.
