Has anyone here been to Court over a DOLS challenge? My mother has challenged the DOLS and wants her to go home - has anyone else gone through this process and can give me any advice?

I'm a bit confused - who is the subject of the DoLS?
A DoLS can be "lifted" at any time, subject to certain criteria being met in terms of suitable/equivalent care being put in place/provided elsewhere. There are formalities and red tape to go through.
I think there have been challenges to the DoLS system over the years...sorry, I'm sure others will be able to advise x

hello Sterling
I was going to reply that a member recently posted on this subject, then realised that it was you
would CAB be able to help - I appreciate that you have been dealing for quite some time with your mother's challenge to the DOLS implemented in respect of her moving into a care home as she wants to live at home (that's my understanding from previous posts), so you've probably tried most avenues
might the AS helpline be worth a call
0300 222 1122 or by email at helpline@alzheimers.org.uk.

Thank you for all the information.

It's now been 18 months since I started this journey and I'm about to go to a 6 th Best Interest Meeting.
It seems never ending and I can't seem to find anyone with similar experiences?
