Advice on Mum making friends....

Hello

My Mum has been in her care home for 6 months, and despite always being sociable and friendly in the past she now won't make any effort. I am worried that she tells me she has nobody to talk to, and that she is lonely. She mostly doesn't join in with anything that goes on and I know the staff are lovely and try very hard. Sometimes I just would like things to seem better....Can anyone help?

Hi, she might be keener if she thinks she's being helpful to another resident or maybe the staff have a team of residents folding laundry etc. Sometimes it's easier to socialise while doing an activity. X
