Nearly the end

Very sadly my darling Chris is now very near the end care home think it will be in the next few days, he is peaceful and is having morphine.
Thought I was prepared but guess you can never really be at care home with him.

Oh, no matter how much one may think one is 'prepared' I don't suppose it's anything like it when it happens.

On morphine does sound very near, so hoping it doesn't drag out for you both.

I'm another who has sat in that chair, although for me, it was my Mum and not my OH, so my pain was different and probably easier.
