I read about "wandering" detectors in a recent issue of "Living with Dementia", and I think my dad might find one of these useful. He loves to go out walking, but can't reliably get himself back home again before he gets too tired to go on. It would be great if he could have some kind of device with him so that we're able to track where he is if he is out for too long, and so that he can still have the freedom to go out by himself.
My question is this: Does anyone have any experience of using one of these devices? I'd be really interested to know how you've found it - good points, difficulties, thoughts about any particular types of device...
