I`m OK thanks flowerpot. I slept till 9am this morning and feel very OK. :)

My bruising doesn`t affect how I sit, but I have to be very careful how I recline and turn in bed. It`s very tender. My movement is unaffected however so I know there`s nothing seriously wrong.

I`ll be at St Pancras again on Tuesday and hope the lift is fixed otherwise I`ll certainly be asking for help.

I haven`t any further news from Mandy or Martin but will update when I hear.

Good that you slept so well Sylvia, it does make a difference.

Yes do ask for help on Tuesday if necessary. Some years ago the lift at Stirling station was out of order, I asked for help as had my 3 wheel walking aid and an overnight holdall and could not do the stairs alone. They took me across to the other platform in a small lift they used for something else, can’t remember. Returning still no lift. I was escorted across the bridge, someone carrying my holdall and walking aid up and down the steps. Good luck but hopefully the lift will be working.

Not so good news about Helen, I hope the problem is not a serious one and she has a better day.

Love
Loo xx

Thanks Loo.

I haven`t heard anything so phoned the hospice. Apparently Helen has had a good morning and was sitting up in bed. :)

I haven`t asked for information about going home. One of the doctors who I hit it off with said I can phone her and she will be happy to speak to me. I might ask when she is on duty.

Hi Sylvia,

Good to know you don't have any major issues following your fall..it could have been so much worse.

Thanks for the update re Helen. Good to know she seems a bit more settled thismorning, let's hope it lasts but she does seem to be very up and down. Perhaps the longer she stays in the hospice the more stable she'll become. It's so difficult, isn't it.

xx

I`m relatively comfortable thanks. I have no pinwheel I`m up and moving but then I forget and if I sit back or turn in bed it lets me know its there.
I`m glad the bruising`s covered. It does look a mess.

I`m just back from the shops. My legs feel wobbly. I hope I`m not developing anything.

I spoke to Martin last night. The ports for Helen`s three syringe drivers have been reduced to one , in preparation for her going home. It must have been an ordeal because she was very sick.

I`ll phone the hospice later and see what they can tell me.

You are going to feel that bruise for a few days yet

Possibly you are feeling wobbly from not doing anything for a couple of days + delayed shock? You have been so full on these last weeks and then the fall on top of that.

I'm glad they are still preparing Helen to go home. It will be where she wants to be.

How is Martin? Such a lot going on for him right now.

Maybe take it easy for the rest of the day Sylvia :)

I phoned the hospice and was put through to a junior doctor who knows me. Helen is being monitored during the `next few days` so there doesn`t seem a hurry to discharge her.

At the moment she is in the day hospice with her daughter. She is in a wheelchair and has had her lunch there.

It sounds as good as it can be.
