"End of life care is skewed towards cancer"

A report in today's Times reports what several of us have sadly experienced.
It states that end of life care for dementia patients is worse than for cancer patients around whom it is designed.

Some hospices employ a nurse specialist who promote equality of access to palliative care for people with dementia and other life limiting conditions, apart from cancer.

It also seems to depend on which organisation runs the hospice and you need to live in their catchment area.
