Thinking of you today and hope it all goes well. If John doesn't go down early, it may be that they want to put him at the end of the list so they don't have to worry about other patients and can give him all the time he needs.

I hope you find ways of passing the time while John is having his operation. Easier said than done but try not to worry as it sounds like he is in very safe hands
