Help needed to find 2 threads

I'm desperate to find 2 threads which I read many months if not longer ago.
The 1st one concerned a relative who went in everyday and coaxed their loved one to start drinking again.
The 2nd was a detailed list of things to do to help loved ones on end of life.
I've tried without success to find them, I'm hoping that one of you kind people or even the posters will be able to help. Many thanks.

I've had a look but I'm afraid I'm not sure which threads you're looking for.

When my mum was dying we had Marie Cure nurses who sat with her overnight. I was surprised we got this as she had Vascular Dementia, not cancer. They gave me a really helpful book about end of life care. I think this link has all of the same information in it -

You can use Google to search any site for a word or phrase.

Google

site:http://forum.alzheimers.org.uk/ "coax to drink"

to list all occurrences of the phrase coax to drink on TP

Google

site:http://forum.alzheimers.org.uk/ "end of life"

to list all occurrences of the phrase end of life on TP

The double quotes forces Google to look for the phrase and not just list all occurrences of the words in the phrase.

You can think up other phrases to use as search terms.

Just to get the syntax correct in terms of the space after /

Thank you to everyone who took the time to reply to my post, the links contain masses of information and help.
My dearly loved husband has vascular dementia and has been in a nursing home for 4 years. He is now on end of life care. With coaxing he's started to drink and takes tiny amounts of food, but should I be doing this? That's why I was desperate to find the 1st poster so I could find out the outcome and whether it still ended in heartache.
Thank you once again. My husband and his dementia have been my life for such a long time, I can't bear to think of a life without him.

Hello Early riser

When my husband was on end of life care he showed no desire to eat whatsoever and any food he opened his mouth to remained in his mouth as if he`d lost the ability to swallow.

He did accept very small amounts of fluid via an oral syringe.

It`s impossible to advise you about your husband, not knowing precisely how near to end of life he is and not having any medical expertise either.

I hope you have professionals around you who can help and advise and your husband is kept pain free and peaceful.

It`s a bad time, I know.
