Moving around!

Nurse came to day to do her usual and advised Dad to move around more to reduce pressure areas. I brought in lunch after she had left and Dad was playing with the remote control on his riser recliner chair which he never touches. I waited for him to settle but he was going up down,going no where, so I asked him after a while what was he trying to do and he said he didn't know but nurse had told him to move around so he was pressing some buttons:confused: I had to explain she meant walking around the room!

Selinacroft - thanks for the giggle. I hope you found amusing after probably being a bit frustrated. We have to laugh through times like that - bless him.

Aww, bless him :). Perhaps you should feed this back to the nurse. Is she used to dealing with people with dementia? It's positive that he remembered what he'd been asked to do though, even if his interpretation of the instructions was a little off. Well done Dad! :)
