Hi all:

I have early onset dementia.

Today is my husband's birthday and I have felt really fine. No confusion, able to drive, vocabulary good..... do you find that on some days you feel just like you used to?

Hi Tovah,

Yes I do, but am afraid it's short lived in my case.

Glad to read you've had a good day today to share and enjoy your husband's birthday:)

Hi Tovah
Yes even after (Ten and a half years) of living with my mixed dementia there can be some days when I feel great maybe not like my old past self but at least better and less confused "BUT" unfortunately as Sue also said days like this are short lived and then Mr Dementia raises its ugly head again:eek::confused:;):D

I thought I must just reply to this again 'Tovah' as I said in my other replies I've had mixed dementia now for over (Ten and a Half Years) and for the past 3-4 days I've been feeling on top of the world! There is nothing more strange than Dementia:confused:
Best wishes

My wife (she has AZ) had an impressive chat with Kath next door over the fence today, first time in a year or more, it's almost like she was her previous self. I think you just have to enjoy the "magic moments" when they happen.

Those same days (it seems) I was on top of the world too! It actually felt odd! Wonder what caused it - so we can duplicate it?
