Dad has been having daily hospital treatments for the past few weeks. Each time he is asked date of birth and home address. He rattles out d.o.b. and home address like a pro and each time the nurse says so sorry we have your address wrong.

He very convincingly gives his childhood address and phone number from over 60 years ago.

I've found this thread useful, thankyou. My mum recently moved into a care home and after 3 weeks had to go into hospital where she still is. She keeps asking to go home and is completely confused where home is. I feel so guilty all the time that I put her in a care home and she's not in her own flat but this thread has made me realise that no-where feels like home anymore and as someone wisely said on here she just wants to go back to the past when she didnt feel like this.
