My mother too is at her journeys end. It is lonely in the small hours just watching and waiting. I feel your pain and your relief. It is a tortuous path we follow so profoundly sad to see them leave us but so grateful the fight is over for us both. Dementia will always be the victor but we fought with love and hope in our hearts.

I'm so very sorry Maureen. We all know it has to come sometime but it is still so very sad when it finally does.
Now that it seems as though your mother's trial in this life is nearing its end, I hope she finds peace and tranquillity.
I very much hope you can too. xxx

Thinking of you, Maureen. I hope you are able to sit together, you and your beloved Mum, in the peace of the moment. One moment at a time. We will all be here for you.

Take good care x
