Hello @Tomjan, you are welcome here and I hope you find the forum to be a friendly and supportive place. Your friend/relative is fortunate to have you looking out for them.

I hope you have time to take a good look around the site as it is a goldmine for information. When I first joined I read old threads for information but then found the AS Publications list and the page where a post code search can be done to check for support services in ones own area. If you are interested in these, clicking the following links will take you there

https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/get-support/publications-factsheets-full-list

https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/find-support-near-you

You will see that there are Factsheets that will help with things like getting care needs assessments, deciding the level of care required and sorting out useful things like Wills, Power of Attorney etc., if any of that hasn't already been done.

You may find the Dementia Guide to be of particular use and you can find it by clicking the 2nd line of the following link
The dementia guide (872)
PDF printable version

Now that you have found us I hope you will keep posting as the membership has vast collective knowledge and experience.

Thank you I'm struggling it's my x husband am in relationship my partner is great. I'm trying to keep him fed with microwave meals as he lives on his own round there nearly everyday making sure he takes his everyday tablets. Approached doctor but got only do what you can. My daughter lived at home with him 25 found it to much with my support. I don't feel enough hours in day to give the attention he needs. Employed cleaner once week.

Hi @PJ and welcome to the forum.

What a difficult situation you’re in. I agree with Cat. A needs assessment sounds like the best way forward. You can’t be expected to undertake all of the care.
