How many ways will people find to sell you water?
I've never bought them as the care home classes them as a choke hazard and as a high sugar product, so whilst the family can bring them in you're not allowed to give them to any residents other than the one you care for.
The human body absorbs H2O and the form it is ingested isn't relevant, by the time anything get's to the large intestine where the water is absorbed it's a slurry. I'm sure at sometime we've all seen the contents of the human stomach (for one reason or another) and I know we're all familiar with the end product of the digestive process, well water is absorbed into the blood stream somewhere between the two as H2O and there is no "magic H2O".
