Someone posted this on my Facebook yesterday and I thought I would share it. It isn't mine so i haven't put it into the poems section
I Am Not Old
I am not old…she said
I am rare.
I am the standing ovation
At the end of the play.
I am the retrospective
Of my life as art
I am the hours
Connected like dots
Into good sense
I am the fullness
Of existing.
You think I am waiting to die…
But I am waiting to be found
I am a treasure.
I am a map.
And these wrinkles are
Imprints of my journey
Ask me anything.

Ohhh. I like that. Can you put it on Pinterest. There is some very good stuff for "seniors" on there. I like a little bit of kick ass as opposed to sweet old dear stuff.

Yes doesn't she look wonderful - a big mixture of hug and total respect when I look at that picture - also my Ma would have been crazy enough to wear a hat like that both in her youth and at the end of her life, can't help but smile x
