Like my mum. She has these little accidents, just can't seem to get to toilet in time. I put a commode in her bedroom a while back, it is so close to her bed and this is what she uses in the morning, sometimes a few little accidents, but not as bad as it used to be. I also wake her around midnight to use it. During the day I remind mum to go to toilet every 2 hours plus half hour after a drink, I hang around till she starts to do something, then I leave her to it. I am just trying to put off the time when pads will have to be worn all the time.

P.S forgot to add that mum sometimes forgets or can't pull up/down clothing before seating on loo.

I had the same problem with my husband, particularly at night he would wake to go to the loo but by the time he got there his PJ's were sodden. Someone else on here recommended washable incontinence pants from Age Concern, which I tried, they are Y fronts with absorbent area in the front, also used pull ups but found that hubby would pull those down to wee and somehow he always managed to wee on the outside of them so gave up on those. My husband could get up every 1.5 to 2 hours to wee all through the night and could have wet PJs on the majority of his visits to the loo, so I'm not sure if getting your husband up regularly would work. Sorry you're having this problem. xxxxxxxx

We had a similar problem last year for several months, Using a urinal in the bedroom helped , so long as there was somewhere stable to put it once used I think it was part of the general downward slope , but also my OH has prostate problems, is that a possibility for yours?

My hubby wakes every 2 hours during the night about four nights a week and I get up and escort him to the loo as we were having lots of mishaps. I found he actually forgets to get his little man out properly resulting in wet pjs. We still have accidents but not quite so many.
