Smile First time here

Hello, just found this site and think perhaps it's just what I need. I look forward to sharing our experiences together.
Mam is 81 and is in late stages of dementia. Yesterday she went into respite as my sister in law who is her carer is going away and I simply can't do what is necessary for her.
I've read a few posts and it gave me comfort to find others feeling how I do.
I look forward to becoming part of it, I'm a bit shy but will try my best to be honest.

Hello Minxy

Yes it's a great place for finding you are not alone, and I am sure the friendliness you will find here will help you over any shyness. You only ever have to say what you want to say or share as much as you wish. It's just wonderful to know you are not alone anymore.

Hi Minxy
i too am a new visitor to talking point, My Mum is 82 and lives on her own over 120 miles away. I have organised carers to visit 3 times a day to give her medication and meals. It is such a comfort to know that others understand the frustrations and worries. Welcome
