Hi Sylvia
What lovely photos. You and Dhiren should be so proud. I was happy to read that Dhiren was able to enjoy the performance as well. Hopefully, being away from the house in the afternoon, gave you some relaxation too.

Dear Sylvia,
I am thrilled that you were able to go. It is so important for yourself and your wider family - but especially youDhiren has had moments of pleasure amidst long periods of anxiety but thank goodness for the moments of respite for him!! I adore young actors and actresses and I know I would be been so very proud had he been my grandson

The outing and excitement gave Dhiren a funny head tonight so I was spared sundowning as he was very tired and a bit `groggy. He went to bed at (9pm and I think is asleep.

Great photos Sylvia. I'm so glad you were able to go, as it would be a sad thing if you missed it. I'm sure you've missed enough as it is with your grandkids, this surely helps make up for that.

The only way to see a rainbow is to look through the rain
He woke from a nap and declared he was going to cook. He wanted to make Dhal [lentils and rice] and needed to cook it himself.
I chopped the onion, weighed the lentils and rice and got the spices out.
`Go away now,` he said. `I can do it.`
So on `red alert` I went away.
After a while I smelt burning.....the onions had caught but were not beyond saving.
The cooking involved too much standing so he accepted help eventually but still had a good feeling about cooking, which was his joy when he was well.
Then at 4pm. the restlessness started.
I had a couple of letters to post so suggested a walk to the letter box.
It used up some energy and when we came home he seemed calmer but I was not allowed to rest on my Laurels.
He wanted a photo of me. He wanted to carry it with him so he could say `This is my friend.`
S `I am your wife.`
D `Are you really? Why didn`t I know? What is your surname?`
S `G****.`
D `Is it? ` and he beamed. He still didn`t see the reason why we have the same surname.
D `Have you any children?`
S `Yes. Paul.`
D `You are lucky, you have a family. I have no one.`
And it continues................

About me
Hello Sylvia, Did Dhiren finish making the Dhaal? Your post sounded as if Dhiren was experiencing being alone in the world but not agitated. If this is correct, then I hope that it stays that way because the agitation is so difficult to deal with.
I wish Dhiren could make me some gobi aloo saag with chapattis
