Another day still no news on dad

Hi,once again thanks for all your support. We are still waiting for the police to get in the river but yet again the water is still to fast flowing. The afon llwyd river is not all that deep varies from 2` to max 5`,got a team from brecon coming to assess the river this morning. The police have walked about 70% of the river banks because some parts are not accesable to reach by foot. The distance from where my fathers shoes were found to where the river reaches the river usk is about 10 miles but when it reaches the usk that is a tidle river and that ends up in the bristol channel. Our poor mother is slowly cracking up,going to ring the police again now.

Oh dear Nick, is there no end to the anguish you are all facing? I was just thinking about you when your message popped up. Thank you for the update, we're all thinking of you as you know. Is the search just concentrated around the river now or is there a chance that your dad took off his shoes and then wandered off in another direction?

Dear God, I hope you get some news soon, Nick.

    xx

Hi Nick, this is a nightmare for you all. Wish the rain would stop so the river calms down enough to seach properly.

Your poor Mum. I cannot imagine what she is going through mentally.

All we can do is send you and the family our love and best wishes.

thank you for updating us. Take care of each other.

Its a dreadful enough sitation but to have to last this long in limbo is just heart breaking. Your poor Mum will think its all her fault.

I hope and pray that they find him.

Dear Nick, another day, it's hard to fathom how you can withstand each new day with no firm news. I have been thinking of you, your brother and your mum each day, and praying for strength for you. Has the doctor helped your mum at all? I hope s/he has offered compassion and any help that s/he can.
I hope the weather conditions will ease so that an answer can be found as to what has happened to your dad. I continue to hope that you are given the answers you need.

    Dear Nick
Thank you for letting us know what’s happening, so many people are thinking of you and your family, the waiting for news must be unbearable. We continue to be here and holding on to hope for you. Look after yourself and your mum, hope she’s being well supported within the community. I’m still shocked such a thing could have happened. Px

Still thinking of you and your family today. I so hope that your father is found very soon. I'm not surprised your mum is finding it hard. If it will help at all, please let her know we are all thinking of her and sending her our love.

Oh Nick, I don't have the words to describe how I feel for you all.
Your posts are so very much appreciated, that alone must take so much courage, and has been said, I hope you are all getting outside support.

Sending love, comfort & strength to you all, Necion. xxx
