Angry I'm not mad - much! UPDATE

Following my complaint letter I had a conversation with the Agency Manager/Owner. She agreed that I cannot keep saying the same thing over and over. She also readily agreed that my mum is frail and vulnerable. She also acknowledge that I have never really hit it off with this carer and I said no I did not as she seemed not to like it when I pointed out anything she had not done and becomes defensive.

The good news is that this particular carer is leaving later the month (moving house out of the area) and I will be pleased about that. Just have to hope the replacement is not of the same ilk. There are two regulars looking after my mum the other is new (young) and really lovely so if the new one is the same things will improve no end.

The Manager may have thought I was being petty but we pay for a service and I make no excuse for wanting the best for my mum. I hope to fulfil my ambition of her never having to go into a home but as things progress never say never!!

Mums new fridge/freezer delivered last night at 8.30!! Fortunately hubby home today due to dentist appointment so all sorted overnight, this morning, and this afternoon with everything back in place so all systems go again.

Thanks for letting us know how you got on. Am really pleased the carer you didn't hit it off with is moving on and hope her replacement is a big improvement. Really admire the way you've asserted yourself in fighting your mum's corner for what she deserves & am glad normality at home is resumed again after the stressful return from your hols.

Lets face it if I did not fight for my mum who else would?

I'll get back at a later date on the new carer and fingers crossed
