Red face Got it all wrong !!!!!!

Last Monday I wrote about having had a bad few days and that fortunately I had a hospital appointment on the Tuesday for a complete check up, scans, blood tests, and appraisal and then I have my eyes checked again. Well come Tuesday morning Sumi said to me that she was just going to the local market to do a bit of shopping and would not be long and off she went, so I thought I’d do my best and get myself washed and dressed ready to go to the hospital… but when Sumi got back after about 40 minutes she looked at me in total surprise and asked (Where are you going!) I replied, we have to go to the hospital today for my check up’s etc!

Now Sumi doesn’t laugh at my silly mistakes that often but on this occasion she was in fits of laughter I said, (What’s so funny) she replied, (Oh Baz, you are so forgetful now, your hospital appointment isn’t until next Tuesday on the 15th, and you obviously forgot that when you have an appointment like this you have to fast overnight and until the tests are completed)
So there I was all dressed up and no where to go! Oh well got it wrong again!!

But at least you were up and ready for the day. Its easy to mix up appointments, I arrived to one a fortnight early.

    Dear Barry,

You sound in good humour about it I'm glad you let us know because we would be wondering how you were getting on!! Do you feel you are settling back down now that the local weddings are over and therefore the noise and disruption levels are reduced?

I've done the same myself. I actually arrived at a job interview a day late, having written down the wrong date when called. It had a happy ending though - it's the job I'm currently holding. I still get teased and 'blonde' comments from my boss about it, nearly 7 years later.

When i was 16 i worked in an office Monday to Friday 9 - 5. One morning on realising i was late for work i hurriedly got dressed, missed breakfast and phoned a taxi figuring i could lessen the length of time i was late. Lo and behold 15 minutes later i arrive at front door which was locked and all the lights were off. I wondered why there was no one there till the penny dropped. It was Saturday!! When i got home my dad was in fits of laughter at my stupidity lol.
