    Hello Helen

I hope your GP is fully supportive, and can help you. When life is trying, the last thing you need is to feel below par yourself. And what is there to feel sorry about, TP is here for us all to let off steam.

Just hope that you feel better soon.

    Dear Helen

You have nothing to apologise for. I only hope you moaned at the GP more than you moaned on here. Sometimes we put on that stiff upper lip with our friends and doctors when we should really let them see that we are down and accept any help that is offered.

You must be feeling pretty exhausted with the weight of the caring that you are doing. Frankly I am in awe of the way in which you cope with w very difficult set of circumstances and always with good grace and humour. On top of all that you are a marvellous support to others on here, such as myself.

So please try if you can to do something small for yourself tonight and savour it if you are able to.

With lots of love and a warm hugx

Hi to all my fantastic supportive friends

Have got ABs and an horrendously high dose of steroids to take for 5 days, and if the wheezing get worse I've to go straight back..I'm alright if I don't move or talk

I admit to being unsure of taking such a high dose of steroids, but the plus side will be my arthritis will vanish for a few days.. I could paint the hall mow the lawn. . Nope it is too wet Iron...absolutely NOT

The big no no is that I will dare not get near a set of bathroom scales and I was quite pleased with myself since Christmas.

Still breathing is a bit high on the to do list

None of the above medicines say no wine

    Love to you all
    Helen x x

    Support

Don't apologise for "moaning"....this is a support forum .....full of like minded people who all want to walk together along the long and winding road that is dementia. One step at a time is the best any of us can hope for.

Try and find the courage and strength to ask for practical help. There are both statuatory and voulantary organisations that can help. Start with your GP - you cannot continue to support your husband if you are physically exhausted and ill.

    Morning Helen,

If I remember correctly you have been down the road of asking for help several times and not getting much of any use I do remember very well what it is like when the carer becomes ill or very over-tired

I hope you are beginning to feel a bit better

    Love
