    seeing things which are not there

    Hi my first time on here my mum has been saying she can see people sitting in the chair but its her mum and sister who are no longer here is this common

    Hallucinations are not uncommon. Is she on mediation? This sometimes does it.

    Please have a word with her GP for more advice.

    not for alzheimers we decided against it. Thanks for advice will let u know how i get on

    Even if not on medication hallucinations can still be present. The GP should be able to help with this.

    My husband wasn`t on Alzheimer`s medication and he was often seeing people in the house, sitting in his chair and in other rooms.

    My dad did too, sometimes he was convinced that my mum had been there, while she was at home with me, or that there were complete strangers. He didn't have AD, but was on other medication.
