Hello everyone,
Dementia Awareness Week is on 20-26 May this year. It's a great opportunity to raise awareness and understanding of dementia and to ask people to 'remember the person' behind the dementia.
Even with as little as 30 seconds of your time, you can help Alzheimer's Society to raise awareness of dementia.
If you have 30 seconds
Sign up to our Campaigners’ Network at alzheimers.org.uk/campaignersnetwork. You will receive regular email updates about our key campaigns with quick and easy ways to get involved.
If you have 2 minutes
If you use email, Facebook or Twitter, share our short film with your friends and ask them to pass it on to their friends. You could also share it with local politicians or other people in your community.
If you have 5 minutes
Fill in one of our Remember the Person poster templates. If you have dementia you can add details about you or you can create one for the person you care for. You can include a drawing or use the space to write a few words about the person's interests, likes and dislikes. Try to make it eye-catching and display it where it will be seen. The templates are available in small or large sizes.
