oh dear,
I've become acutely aware over the years that as we are getting older, new relatives are being born, others, usually the old fall off the perch and like a time traveller, Christmas comes around sooner and sooner!
This long winded introduction is to say that my little dog Buffy is very ill. Mark and I bought her together 11 years ago, when he was well and we could enjoy our little surrogate baby! But now she is old, and fragile and probably will leave us soon![]()
She is the last part of my life with the Mark I used to know when he was well and she has been such a comfort to me. So loyal, playful, always here to greet me but not for much longer. I will really miss her.

'The best things in life are nearest: Breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you. Then do not grasp at the stars, but do life's plain, common work as it comes, certain that daily duties and daily bread are the sweetest things in life.'
