I`m glad song has an uplifting effect on people with dementia Jimbo.
It has an uplifting effect on me too.

I was walking home this morning after a strenuous [ for me] stint clearing ivy from local woodland. I had overdone it and was really tired. There were no buses , the streets were deserted and I dreaded the walk home.

I remembered I had my ipod . I tuned it in and sang along to Johnny Ray, one of my teenage favourites.

The way ahead suddenly became shorter and much more enjoyable.
