BBC Radio 3 are looking for people who are about to move from their home into retirement or care accommodation. The one-off programme is called ‘Belongings’ and is about the decisions that have to be made about what possessions to keep and what to sell or pass on. It’s a time that must raise a number of questions – with what do you want to be surrounded in your new, smaller home? What is a belonging’s true worth – its monetary value or the memories it holds?

Jonathan Mayo, the producer, would like to follow an individual or couple (one of whom has dementia) as they go through the process of deciding what possessions to keep, through to the move to their new home.

You or someone you care for may be at the start of this process. If you would be interested in taking part then please contact Claire Bennett in the press team by phoning 0207 423 3576 or emailing claire.bennett@alzheimers.org.uk.

Many thanks.
