It seems that once you have taken the dreadful step of getting your husband into fulltime care. The powers that be will do everything in their power to make the next step of having help in paying the fees as stressfull as they can. It seems you are penalised for working hard and paying all your taxes and NH all your life only to be asked to pay high fees yourself and be left destitute after a short time. Why can they not have an easy and quick way to deal with this rather than going through so many different people and divisions. Don't they realise what you have been through as an elderly carer already!
Has anyone any pointers for me or know of a way I can be helped on this? I know funds are short at the moment but why all this red tape.
All I want is for my husband to be cared for in the right enviroment and to be safe.
