New recruitment process for Talking Point volunteer moderators

As many of you know, our volunteer moderating team are key to the success of Talking Point (TP): they work hard to ensure that TP is a safe, welcoming and supportive environment.

Over the past couple of years, we have recruited new volunteer moderators to the Talking Point team on an annual basis. Now, we’re going to try a new way of doing this.

We have decided to operate an ongoing recruitment process for new volunteer moderators, with the hope that this will offer greater flexibility to our potential volunteers. So from now on, if you think you might be interested in joining our team, you can get in touch with me at any time to enquire about the moderator role, or to submit an application.

It's important to note that we cannot always guarantee that there will be a vacancy on the team, however, it would be good for TP if we know we have new volunteers available should the need arise.

You can find out more about the role of Volunteer Moderator via the link below (please note that clicking on this link will take you out of TP and in to the main Alzheimer's Society website):

    Volunteer Moderator role description

If you feel this role would be suitable for you and you’d like to apply, you can register your interest by completing our online application form (again, this form is held on the main Alzheimer's Society website):

If you have any questions about either the application process or the role of Volunteer Moderator, please contact me, either via PM or by email at kwatt@alzheimers.org.uk.

    Many thanks,

    Katherine

Thumbs up New volunteer moderator is joining the team today!

    Hi everyone

I’m delighted to say that we have a new volunteer moderator, Christin, who will be joining the TP moderating team later on today.

A warm welcome to Christin from all of us on the team: we really hope that you will enjoy the role.

Many of you will know Christin already, but you can also read more about her here, on our Meet the Moderators page.

And, a reminder to everyone that we are now accepting applications to the team on an ongoing basis, so, if you think the Moderator role would be suitable for you and you’d like to register your interest, please do get in touch. The moderator role description and online application form are both linked to in the above post, and you can always contact me via PM or email with any questions.

    Best wishes,

    Katherine

Thumbs up More good news for the moderating team…

    Hello everyone,

We have another new volunteer joining the moderating team today: we are lucky enough to be welcoming Deborah Blythe on board.

Welcome, Deborah: we hope you'll enjoy being part of the team.

Deborah has been a member of TP for quite a while now so many members will know her, but anyone who would like to read Deborah’s ‘biography’ can do so here, on our Meet the Moderators page.

If you think the Moderator role would be suitable for you and you’d like to register your interest, please do get in touch. The moderator role description and online application form are both linked to in the first post on this thread, and you can always contact me via PM or email with any questions.

    Best wishes,

    Katherine
