UPdated with LCP as suggested by Jancis and a few from DLM's recent thread - LO, CP, ALF, SNH. (Didn't include his/her suggested XYL=wife: I had to google it to find out that it's "ex-young-lady" used in Ham Radio circles! Seems a bit obscure for the TP list.) Pam

ICO added - I'd spotted it in a thread and thought I ought to find out what it was, but didn't get round to it, so thanks, Jancis!

    Sticky????????/

I knew this thread existed but until yesterday I had never had any reason to use it,
I was very frustrated having to search for it , eventualy I typed in search 'Abbreviations list '

    I note the following

" STICKY: A thread which stays visible at the top of the list whether or not there have been any recent contributions. Used for information which will be useful to read at any time and needs to be easy to find."

is it not possible to make this thread a ' sticky'

    Hello Jimbo

    Thanks for your post.

There are currently three 'Sticky' threads in the support forum including one called

"About Talking Point: Welcome, Safety, Abbreviations":
    http://forum.alzheimers.org.uk/showt...l=1#post353771

This thread provides a direct link to Pam's very helpful abbreviations thread (this one)

    Hope this helps

Just looking around this site and found this list

I have used CCF in my posts (Congestive Cardiac Failure) and its one of the reasons why my mum has mixed Vascular Demential along with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).

Thanks, 2Jays - CCF and COPD now listed (surprised we hadn't already got the 2nd one). Pam

    Talking Point

I have had another look at the A-Z and what pops up for me is

    Talking therapies
Training, learning and development in dementia care
    Travelling and going on holiday

No TP link and I see from your initial list on here there should be more items

    is it my computer?

D&V added today after a comment on a thread involving it (and a note at DV too for good measure). Pam
