Glad to hear that you are improving Sylvia, and I hope the pad helps. I've even had it plugged in at work when I've had a muscle spasm and that and the upright shape of the chair really helps too....
Much sympathy for your bad back Sylvia, it must be exhausting for you. If it's muscular have you tried a heat pad? I know there are different schools of thought on heat or cold, but I couldn't bear...
That's such a lovely photo Sarah. I'm sorry you feel sad, a hug for you xxx

:) I'd forgotten this thread and am glad to see it back, it will make me focus on good things!
:) I woke up to the howling gales in the night and worried about things at work, but sorted them all...
Hugs for you, BE and I agree with the others here. I wonder if you might want to seek out a nice place for some respite for your mum before you reach the 'tipping point' that Jeanette refers to? You...

Good for you Jane, on all counts, a huge step in the right direction! As Katie says, it is a matter of one day at a time for you and your dad. I hope he doesn't have to move later on x

I am sorry Pippa, what a horrible time for you all. It is a good thing that your mum is now being well cared for. It is very soon, but hopefully your dad will get some benefit from the rest. I know...
I'm so sorry to hear of your mum's infection Pied, but pleased to see your post. They have manicures at my mum's home too, and sometimes her nails are varnished too. I usually have to take the...

I'm so sorry Tara, thinking of you and your family, love xxxx
I am sorry to hear your news Sarah. Saffie's advice is good, particularly about the lutein as my aunt was diagnosed with this too, and this is what she takes. Hopefully you will be referred to a...
What a shock for you Sylvia, but what a relief that he is ok and that the care home were cautious xxxx
Thinking of you Tara, what a difficult time for you, hugs xxx
I'm sorry that you are having a sad day, Lilysmybabypup, sometimes it's the smallest things like a look or a word that affect us. I used to shut myself in the bathroom and have a good sob sometimes...
Thinking of you Linda, I am so sorry xxxx
Would the relevant AS branches be able to help/ advise? I'm not sure if that would be in their remit? Or if they have a dementia café, there may be some people who go to them that you could chat to?...
It would become a health hazard to your mum and others I would think if it wasn't cleaned up for a few weeks, what about some 'before' timed and dated photographs? Can't the carers persuade your mum...
That would be good. A massive hug for you xxxxx
Dear Jenny, I'm so sorry to hear about John. My thoughts are with you, and if you are over in 'our' neck of the woods, and need to chat, please let me know, love from Jennie xxxxxx
