I only discovered Compassionate Communication after my husband had passed away.
I'd like to think that if ever I had to deal with dementia again (which I hope a million times over I never do:eek:)...

My late husband was self funded and received both AA and Nursing funding.
Glad to hear the procedure went well and you are well rested.

When I first claimed for AA for my late husband it was turned down.
I spoke to my GP who was horrified and appealed on my behalf and we got it - and at the higher rate!!! so don't give up!

My husband frequently suffered from cold sores. He developed early onset AD in his early sixties and has since died.
There were no previous cases of dementia in his family.
Very interesting.
Such a moving article Nikola and reminded me of trying to cope with my David who also had FTD in his early sixties.
