Hello Dalesman. Sorry to hear about your partner. Does she recognise you? How do you cope with your feelings? Does your partner have trouble knowing where the living room is or where the spoons and cups or milk go? If so, a good idea is to go to your local infant school, sounds strange I know, and explain the situation, and perhaps they could give you posters or strips of paper, with the words of the objects/rooms in large letters, and perhaps the picture to go with it. My husband is 65, 20 yrs my senior, but before he got Alzheimer's there was no age gap. Now he is in his 4th year in a Home with advanced Alzheimer's and doesn't know me. Do you want to be friends? I don't know many people either and it would be great if we could support each other and if you would like to read some of my experience-related poetry, I would be happy. Take care of yourself, Dalesman. Kind regards, diane.
