Hello Sheena. I am truly sorry for the loss of your mother. I'm glad though that it was very peaceful. How did the vascular dementia affect her? Sadly I don't have any children with Gordon, or any at all. My only pregnancy was with Gordon, but at 8 weeks the pregnancy became ectopic. That was 7 years ago. Hello, I am Diane, 45, from Birmingham. Where is the Central Belt? Is it near the Midlands? I am so sorry for the loss of your Mother. How old was she? How long ago did she go to sleep? My husband Gordon, 65, is in a Home with advanced AD. He no longer recognises me. He is doubly incontinent and doesn't speak, per se, just a mixture of consonants and vowels - well, they're WORDS to HIM. Did your Mum ever fit? Gordon had a big one - his first - in July. They lost his heartbeat for a minute, on the dining hall floor, and he was rushed to Resus. So far he hasn't had another. If you want a friend, that would be super. Take care.
