LOL...now Christine, to me it sounds like shes been feeding the cats with the scampi which is very nice of her! Theyre just SO frustrating at times arent they? And obviously she was preparing your tea with the ready meal! Honestly, daughters are SO ungrateful! Im only teasing as you know....some things will get better, some worse, at least youre not on your own on the journey any more. xxx PS Can you lock the freezer? Or where the freezer is? I have child locks on EVERYTHING...and thats for dad not Lily!

WOW! Well done you on getting things sorted for your mum! I hope you feel some assurance and Im really glad your mum has taken things so well. You sounded at the end of your tether, (and I'll be honest, that may not be the last time you feel like that) but youre going to get some HELP at last, and it really will make all the difference. (((HUG))) xxx

Hi Christine. How are you? Thanks for requesting my friendship. I'm a bit new to the site, so don't know how to accept. It ticked a little box. then asked to save changes. Which I did. Does that mean we're friends? xxx

Good morning (just!) My name is Diane, 45, from Birmingham. I hope this text finds you well. Do you find benefit from TP? I've recently joined, hoping to make new friends. My sweet husband, Gordon, just turned 65, has been living in a Home for 4 years with advanced AD. Why does it HURT so much? We have this pain inside our heart grieving for the life our loved ones are missing out on. I will gladly support anyone who knows that pain. I write poetry to help and it's to do with the experience. Gordon doesn't know who I am. Does your Mother still recognise you? Is she still living with you? Do you want an additional friend, Christine? Do take care and have some me time too. Kind regards, Diane

I think the willow weave is already three-quarters of the way up the frame ...

I posted separately about the small achievement in getting the LPA forms done. As Mum is only on a state pension, pension credit, AA and a small pension from my late father's employment, she qualifies for 100% remission from the fees, but we have to provide documented evidence no more than 3 months old to support that. I obtained the information from the DWP, and was awaiting the arrival of a letter from...

To all of you have replied, and anyone who has given their time just to look - thank you. I know I've only been here 5 minutes, so this must seem like I have all the fortitude of a wilted lettuce, but if you were to take the short-term memory issues as the start of this (the "having the same convesation 3 times in 5 minues" stage), this situation has been brewing for probably around 6 years, and I think the fact that I joined the forum is more symptomatic of reaching a point where I'm...

Ok, I've already "been there, done that", but I think I'm heading there again this weekend. My mother is actually driving me mad as I type this.

After two screaming matches yesterday (one before going to work, one when I got home) over medication she won't take and then continues to complain about the things the medication is supposed to be helping, I was looking forward to a lie-in this morning. One of the dogs woke me up to let him out, and I found her already up in...
