My husband, aged 57, was diagnosed with PCA in November 2011. He has bouts of very low mood and has been prescribed Citalopram (20mg) to take. He is hesitant to take them because he feels they will prevent him from enjoying his regular evening glass of red wine. He also thinks he would become hooked on them.

My husband has just been diagnosed with Posterior Cortical Atrophy. He is 57 and has not been right for at least 2-3 years. In one way it is a relief to get a diagnosis but in another it is so frightening, knowing what is ahead.
I am absolutely petrified and feel as if I have started grieving.
I have 2 wonderful adult children living at home, one working from home and one at university. They seem to not want to look at the bigger picture and say nothing much has changed
