I'm probably not posting this in the most appropriate place but if a moderator wants to move it elsewhere then that's fine. I just happened to notice that the board stats show there are 15k+ forum members bot only 643 active members. I just wondered how an active member is defined?
Please what is the envelope on the left of a message with a little black spot on it? It looks a bit like a camera. I can’t find it at the bottom of the page in the list.
Also what ahs happened to the academic forum – I was sure that there was a thread on there about AD masking other illnesses...

Each time I try to add an attachment to the end of a post it is inserted at the beginning!
The cursor is in the right place but the attachment isn't. Any ideas please?
Also, when I choose 'go to last post' I am taken to the beginning or middle but not the end:confused: Ideas about this?

Hi my mum has dementia and is 88 years old. My Dad who is 84 is her carer but is now becoming very stressed and has lost a lot of weight. Over the past 3 months he has been admitted to hospital 6 or 7 times and each time I have to look after my Mum.
I live 80 miles away and luckly work for myself...
Bless you, join the club! So many of us here have the same problem and there is no easy way to keep calm - wish there was! I think that you are at the stage where you are the 'comfort blanket' for him when he finds himself in a world which he can't understand.

I have been trying to find an alarm clock for my mum who has dementia.

My dad's live in carer comes from Bulgaria (and speaks fluent Turkish) and i'm not completely sure that she understands the fullness of Alzheimer's Disease and how bad Dad may get: is there a translation that i can print off for her?
